The Business Analyst will produce high-quality written reports and present complex information to colleagues and university leadership. As a member of a team, they will identify and execute opportunities for improved efficiencies, enhanced student/staff/faculty experiences, and strengthened associated compliance requirements. Specific Duties & Responsibilities Use various methodologies (e.g., Business Process Management (BPM), Lean, Six Sigma, Agile) to approach typical and complex situations and adapt to changing circumstances and new requirements. Conduct stakeholder interviews related to data analysis, data interpretation, and process design to identify, recommend, and solve business problems. Construct and/or lead data analysis by ensuring efficient data collection, instructing analytical choices, conducting research and summarizing conclusions and recommendations to produce high-quality deliverables. Coordinate activities to complete assigned work efficiently, which includes delegating and using appropriate project and divisional resources. Collaborate closely with program managers and functional leads and other team members to develop deliverables, briefings, presentation and workshop materials, infographics, analyses, etc. Establish knowledge of financial, business, and technological practices across the university to effectively support projects. Assess change readiness among stakeholders identifying and helping mitigate implementation barriers and risks as needed. Independently lead stakeholder interviews and/or design sessions by running well organized meetings. Quickly establish credibility for the project by proactively building strategic working relationships. Appropriately seek stakeholder input and cooperation while ensuring project goals are met. Effectively obtain stakeholder feedback and appropriately respond to their concerns. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Three years of related experience Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
