Remote Business Analyst

Job Description We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a high-impact initiative focused on engineering production metrics. This role will partner closely with the Product Owner, data engineering, and architecture teams to define, document, and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate has experience working in data-heavy environments and can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, especially across complex, multi-source data ecosystems. Key Responsibilities

•  Requirements Gathering & Translation o Partner with Product Owner and stakeholders to gather business requirements for engineering metrics o Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and technical requirements o Define success criteria, KPIs, and reporting expectations
•  Data Analysis & Mapping o Perform source-to-target mapping across multiple data sources (Oracle, SharePoint, Excel, SAP) o Document data lineage, transformations, and aggregation logic o Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and quality issues
•  Support Data Pipeline Development o Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure requirements align with Databricks ingestion and transformation pipelines o Help prioritize backlog and define MVP for initial data product o Validate that outputs align with business expectations
•  UAT & Validation o Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities o Ensure dashboards (Qlik) accurately reflect expected metrics o Partner with stakeholders to confirm usability and accuracy
•  Documentation & Process Improvement o Create and maintain documentation in Confluence o Improve and standardize documentation processes (currently manual) o Establish reusable templates for requirements, mapping, and testing
•  Stakeholder Communication o Act as liaison between Product, Engineering, and Business teams o Help manage expectations around timeline, feasibility, and data limitations o Provide visibility into progress, risks, and dependencies We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.

•  7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in data or technical environments
•  Strong experience with: o Data mapping / source-to-target mapping o Writing user stories in Jira
•  Ability to translate between business and technical stakeholders
•  Experience supporting UAT and validating data outputs
•  Strong documentation and communication skills
•  Experience with Databricks or cloud data platforms
•  Exposure to Qlik or similar BI tools
•  Experience working with Oracle, SAP, SharePoint, Excel data sources
•  Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments
