Sr. Business Analyst
As a Sr. Business Analyst, this role serves as a vital link between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that our strategies are data-driven and effective. You shapes how we understand our performance and identifies opportunities for growth and efficiency, directly impacting our success.
This position is Hybrid with 25% travel to New Carrollton in Lanham, MD and 75% being fully remote.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads comprehensive requirements gathering sessions with diverse stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
- Manages stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Performs in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, identify root causes, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Utilizes SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Designs and develops reporting solutions and interactive dashboards using tools like POWER BI and Tableau.
- Translates complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling business intelligence reports and presentations.
- Collaborates with technical teams to design and implement robust data solutions that meet business needs.
- Delivers impactful business intelligence to leadership, supporting informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Mentors junior analysts, sharing best practices in data analysis and reporting.
- Evaluates existing processes and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and data quality.

- Communicates complex technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Presents findings and recommendations persuasively to senior leadership.
- Must reside within 2 hours from Lanham, MD
- Active Federal Clearance
Education & Experience:
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8 years of progressive experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrates proven experience in requirements gathering and solution design.
- Applies expertise in stakeholder management across various organizational levels.
- Exhibits extensive experience in data analysis and interpreting complex datasets.
- Shows hands-on experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Utilizes significant experience in developing and deploying dashboards using POWER BI and Tableau.
- Leads projects focused on developing reporting solutions and enhancing business intelligence capabilities.
