Job Description
Under the direction of the EVP-Chief Banking Officer, the Treasury Management Officer is responsible for the development of new treasury management business, expanding existing business relationships, and servicing the Bank's treasury management clients. Analyze client's current treasury management structure and pricing and develop customized solutions to meet the client's needs. Prepares and presents treasury management solutions, presentations, and proposals (for both internal and external audiences), illustrating customize solutions, industry trends, as well as features and benefits of the recommended product offerings. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year College; or 7-10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a financial institution operations, deposit and ancillary product sales, treasury management experience, or customer service background. Strong organizational, analytical, time management, and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations, and other Bank operational policies. Actively involved in the community and demonstrated ability to leverage connections and networking to build market presence for the bank. Advanced experience, knowledge and training in terminology, products and services relating to commercial account customers, specifically related to Treasury Management present and in the future. Proficient with technology as it relates to daily and work processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. At a minimum, the incumbent must be able effectively use Microsoft Suite and bank core processing system. Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties. Actively analyzes, and identifies banking needs of identified target segments, prospects, centers of influence, etc. to lead new business development and client acquisition efforts for both potential and existing business clients. Leads and collaborates with other team members and management to contribute to the development and implementation of strategy for the Treasury Management group within the Bank. Functions as the Treasury Management team leader by representing the team at meetings, coordinating, and communicating team information, distributing information, answering policy questions, negotiating inter-member and inter-team relations, coordinating training opportunities for team members, assisting team members with customer issues, and supporting system and procedural changes. Collaborates with Agricultural Bankers, Business Bankers, and Consumer Bank Services, on current or prospective client calls to enhance the client experience through the sale of depository and Treasury Management solutions to build, maintain and strengthen relationships. Performs a discovery call process when meeting with the business and decision makers to obtain information; establishes proper identification of new customers; determines needs and extent of reference investigation. Responsible for collecting and providing input from customers for the future development of deposit and Treasury Management products. Builds deeper relationships with existing clients by maintaining knowledge of client business endeavors and identifying relevant and effective deposit and payment solutions. Provides advice to clients by being knowledgeable in features, benefits, pricing, customer set up, user operations, and security. Expert in Treasury Management tools as it relates to Online Banking Platform, Remote Deposit Capture, ACH, Wires, and Fraud Protection tools. Work with other members of management to monitor and determine appropriate success measures for Treasury Management. Makes appropriate referrals to other areas of the bank. Able to analyze products and services to determine what the market is demanding through interaction with clients and prospects. Project leader for implementing new products and services. Provide leadership, training, and support to the other team members, as well as participates in management reporting and profitability. Maintains a high degree of productivity by following through with assignments, escalating issues as needed to proper area, and consistently meets deadlines. Provides ideas to streamline processes/functions or create operational efficiencies. Provides ideas to streamline processes/functions or create operational efficiencies.
