Arlington, VA Job Details Full-time 12 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Phone communication Customer service Bachelor's degree Grammar Experience Full Job Description Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to support our US Navy client, the Director of Acquisition Talent Management (DATM). The job is on-site at the Pentagon , VA supporting our team providing support for NAVY Top Brass/Executive level leadership.
Minimum/General/Experience:
Minimum of 8 years' experience working with the acquisition workforce. Must possess strong analytical and administrative skills, and capable of multi-tasking in this fast-paced work environment. Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and produce documents or other published works.
Education:
Minimum BA/BS degree from an accredited university.
Mandatory:
Applicants must have an active Interim Secret DoD clearance at a minimum, with final Secret preferred. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Very detail-oriented, able to handle multiple ongoing actions at once, and support the Action Officers in reviewing documents, preparing reports, briefs, spreadsheets, and nomination forms in various formats. Experience with MS Publisher would be a plus, for newsletters and Acquisition Excellence Award (AEA) post ceremony artifacts. Also, an understanding of the Dept of the Navy's Acquisition Workforce would be an added bonus. Candidates must excel in critical thinking and analysis and are also pro-active. The right candidate will be a quick study and work to understand the office and seek out ways to assist, not simply wait to be assigned tasks. They will understand the staffing process or be able to learn it quickly so they can help the office with the packages needed for the awards. They would need to understand that the DATM is part of an Echelon 1 organization, so they have more customers than a typical program office. Telework is permitted on a situational basis, but to expect to be in the office at least 4 days per week. Success for working in this position requires: Coordinate the nomination and selection processes for several nominative programs, training, and awards with the DATM staff and the SYSCOMs as required, Monitor DON compliance with established nominative program policies and implementing guidance and propose and implement government-approved corrective actions if identified across the SYSCOMs, Analyzes current and future needs for AWF rotations, training, and awards programs, Attend meetings and provide minutes for government approval, Initiate, develop, draft, and submit DON instructions for the various nominative programs for government approval, Plan and coordinate awards ceremonies, Coordinate guest speakers for nominative training opportunities and events, Coordinate nominative program participants to be guest speakers at other AWF events, Possess experience and knowledge in proofreading and editing documents that are highly technical in nature which were created by others to ensure proper format, grammar, and style, Must possess excellent communication, customer service, and telephone skills and work with others at all levels, as a team member, Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills, High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments, including, proofreading, grammar, and analytical skills, and Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
