Job Description

SUMMARY

Review and assess revenue contracts and sales orders to determine proper recognition and revenue allocationEnsure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606) and company policies in recognizing revenueDevelop, establish, and maintain month-end close procedures and best practices that will effectively scalePrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for stakeholdersConduct in-depth analysis of revenue data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvementWork closely with Business Development, Contracts, and leadership to ensure accuracy and complianceManage revenue-related month-end close procedures, including deferred revenue schedulesAssist with financial statement audits, SOX compliance, and annual auditsAssist with Accounts Receivable invoicing, Collections, and Treasury ManagementSupport ad-hoc accounting projects and analysis as required, including design of accounting operational processes, business processes, automation activities, data analysis and management reportingCollaborate with operations leadership to evaluate pricing, quoting, and profitabilityFoster a positive team culture, continuous improvement, and cross-department communicationABOUT USKarman Space & Defense provides concept-to-production solutions for mission-critical systems on spacecraft, launch vehicles, missiles, hypersonics, and integrated defense systems. WHAT YOU WILL

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING
FORRequired:
Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field
Preferred:
Masters degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on manufacturingAdvanced knowledge of
U.S. GAAP
(ASC 606), cost accounting principles, and internal control systems.

Strong analytical skills and ERP skills, with Expertise in advanced Excel functions and EPICOR preferredExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsExperience in process improvement and cross-department collaboration within manufacturing environmentsDemonstrated ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and increase shareholder value in a fast-paced environmentMust be a U.S. Citizen
