Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
: Provide support to various campus departments with a focus on Student Life and Residential Education. Work with the user community on improving processes and streamlining business practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Support users of the campus administrative systems including StarRez housing application, Transact meal plan management and point-of-sale systems, Argos reporting platform, Ellucian's Banner and various process specific systems. Develop reports and ad-hoc queries to address operating needs of end-users. Assist with application testing, quality control, training and documentation tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Provide Administrative configuration of the StarRez housing application. Work with department staff to plan and test enhancements to campus information and reporting systems central to the operations of the college (StarRez, Evisions Argos reporting system, Ellucian Banner, etc.) and provide the user support needed for the effective operation of these systems. Support and provide quality customer service to key data users in their efforts to train other users and troubleshoot; help key data users make decisions concerning the use of application software to ensure consistency and integrity of data within and among enterprise systems. Improve business processes by analyzing current practices and working with application development staff to create more efficient processes using the best available technologies and practices. Work with other members of the application development team to ensure that enterprise systems operate reliably, consistently, and effectively.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
: While operating in a flexible work environment, the Business Analyst will work closely with the Student Life, Residential Education and Technology Services teams as well as personnel across campus. Duties may require collaboration with faculty, staff, and students to support various information technology needs. Some weekend work is required to support student campus arrivals. This is an on-premise position in Appleton, Wisconsin. Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements Associates degree in an IT related field or 3 years of education and related work experience.
