Huntsville, AL Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Qualifications Microsoft Outlook Spreadsheets Writing skills Administrative experience Desktop applications Office experience Full Job Description The Opportunity Responsible for coordinating procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services. This role manages purchase orders, maintains supplier relationships, tracks deliveries, and collaborates with internal departments to support operational needs while ensuring compliance with company purchasing policies. Key Responsibilities Monitors and administrates activities involved in the procurement of goods and services. Receives purchase orders, invoices and other forms and reconciles for completeness and accuracy. Works with vendors to ensure that products are delivered according to schedule and purchasing terms and conditions are clear and agreed upon. Stores and retrieves purchase orders, proof of purchase, proof of delivery, pricing quotes, receipts and other necessary documents. Coordinates the process of purchasing a good or service efficiently. Ensures that payments are distributed and received on time and troubleshoots any issues or deficiencies in payments. Scans, copies and prints purchase orders, invoices and other related documents. Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes of services or goods. Maintains knowledge of relevant software used to order and track goods and services. Research and identify new vendors or contractors based on needs of organization, team, program or initiatives. Collaborates with and supports other business functions such as scheduling, contracts, financial analysis, financial reporting, and accounting. May perform other administrative tasks as assigned. Fluency in English (written and spoken) US Citizenship Education Bachelors Degree in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills, Experience & Abilities Experience handling administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, or record management. Experience in administrative support, customer service, purchasing, or a related office environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Professionalism and positive attitude in workplace interactions Initiative and ability to take ownership of tasks/projects Comfort with ambiguity and learning on the job Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work well independently or as part of a team Willingness to learn new tools or procedures Positive attitude toward safety and following protocols Problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset Familiarity with purchasing and procurement Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
