POSITION SCOPE
The Construction Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply chain of construction materials and services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position requires extensive knowledge of construction means and methods, costs and principles. We offer a competitive market-based salary and comprehensive benefits.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Initiate contact with vendors, research and qualify new product suppliers, and obtain comparative pricing and quotations for construction materials Generate purchase orders, negotiate prices or discounts, and ensure terms meet project requirements Process all incoming materials and inventory using a computerized purchasing/inventory control system to maintain traceability and accountability Review quantity and quality of items purchased to ensure they meet specifications and contractual obligations Check invoices for accuracy, confirm billing amounts, and process payments Schedule and track delivery of supplies and materials to job sites, follow up on back orders, returns, and pre-ordered items Work with vendors and warehouse teams to resolve quantity or quality discrepancies Assist with filing, training, meetings, and other administrative tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Strong negotiation and contract management skills Must have vertical construction experience Proficiency in procurement software and inventory control systems Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and industry standards Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills Experience in construction or heavy industry procurement is preferred Onsite in Glendale, AZ Fisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
