40.0 hours per week Overview Temporary Procurement Specialist to support the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team by partnering with category managers on purchasing and sourcing activities across the organization. The role supports SOW/contract workflows, purchase requisitions, vendor evaluations, stakeholder/supplier coordination, and issue resolution while contributing to vendor accrual/forecasting. Responsibilities Support the Category Management and Sourcing team in procurement activities related to purchasing materials, equipment, and services within the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Review and manage end-to-end contract workflows including SOW, budgets, and payment schedules using the Legal Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system. Assist in preparing Purchase Requisitions and liaise with Legal and Business Owners to ensure vendor contracts meet business needs. Gather market intelligence and analyze trends to support category managers/leaders. Support vendor evaluation activities such as RFIs and RFPs, and communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, bid defenses, and presentations; follow up on orders and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and receiving. Support quarterly vendor accrual and forecasting processes, and assist with procurement projects as required. Requirements BS/BA degree in a related discipline with five (5) years of related experience, or Master's degree with three (3) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience preferred in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industries. Exceptional customer service skills and a strong work ethic. High integrity, responsibility, and thoroughness in work activities. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with internal teams and external suppliers. High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with ERP and purchasing systems required; SAP software proficiency preferred. Knowledge of market intelligence and vendor risk management tools. Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to cross-functional procedures (Legal, Compliance, Accounting, SOX, Tax, etc.).
