We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Purchasing Specialist to lead our procurement initiatives and drive strategic sourcing efforts across our organization. In this pivotal role, you will manage complex purchasing activities, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and optimize supply chain processes to ensure the seamless delivery of materials and services. Key Responsibilities Review purchasing trends, usage reports, and historical data to forecast material demand and determine order timing and quantities Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure purchased materials meet quality, scope, and budget standards Source materials and supplies from approved and new vendors based on pricing, quality, availability, and lead times Request, review, and compare vendor quotations to secure the best overall value for the company Create, enter, and process purchase orders in JD Edwards (JDE) and obtain necessary approvals Track purchase orders from issuance through delivery and maintain accurate order status updates Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, order updates, shipment schedules, delays, and discrepancies Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and resolve delivery or quality issues as needed Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while supporting pricing, terms, and delivery negotiations Monitor supplier performance, including delivery timelines, accuracy, responsiveness, and reliability Stay informed about market pricing trends and supply chain conditions impacting purchasing decisions Coordinate with internal departments and project teams to ensure materials are delivered on schedule Assist with purchasing documentation, contracts, and general procurement support as needed Other miscellaneous responsibilities as required. Qualifications Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying coordination, or supply chain operations preferred Experience using JD Edwards (JDE) or other ERP systems strongly preferred Strong understanding of purchasing processes and purchase order management Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple orders, deadlines, and priorities efficiently Basic knowledge of inventory management, materials planning, or project-based purchasing preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
