64 per hour Job description: We are seeking a highly experienced Pharmacy Buyer to manage pharmaceutical purchasing, inventory control, and vendor relationships within a fast-paced hospital pharmacy environment. This role is ideal for an experienced Hospital Pharmacy Technician with a strong background in procurement, contracting, and inventory management.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Pharmacy Technician program, college coursework in science, or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Associate degree in Materials Management or related field (preferred) Experience
  • 5+ years Hospital Pharmacy Technician experience (REQUIRED)
  • 2+ years in pharmaceutical purchasing, contracting, or inventory management (REQUIRED)
  • Experience with hospital pharmacy operations, drug distribution, and supply chain
  • Leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)

Pharmacy Technician License Key Responsibilities:
Pharmaceutical Purchasing & Vendor Management
  • Purchase pharmaceuticals, including Schedule II controlled substances, from wholesalers and manufacturers
  • Maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical reps, wholesalers, and vendors
  • Assist in contract negotiation and purchasing agreements
  • Ensure compliance with DEA, FDA, and hospital policies Inventory Management & Operations
  • Manage pharmacy inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock and minimizing waste
  • Oversee ordering, receiving, unpacking, verification, and storage of medications and supplies
  • Supervise and coordinate annual physical inventory
  • Maintain accurate records of invoices, purchasing, and contracts Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Monitor and respond to FDA drug recalls
  • Ensure proper charging of floor stock across departments and off-site locations
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
  • Oversee expired medication returns and credit reconciliation Process Improvement & Leadership
  • Evaluate pharmacy operations and purchasing systems for efficiency improvements
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and hospital staff to improve workflows
  • Support a team-oriented, continuous improvement culture

The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
