As a prime vendor for LG Energy Solution, we deliver critical infrastructure projects across Ohio, Michigan (Lansing), Canada (Windsor), and Arizona, supporting the rapidly growing electric vehicle and clean energy industries. Position Overview We are seeking a full-time, on-site, hands-on Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities across industrial utility system construction projects. This is a highly operational, execution-focused role. The ideal candidate is comfortable independently managing day-to-day purchasing activities, supplier communication, and order coordination in a fast-paced project environment. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure materials and equipment are sourced accurately, cost-effectively, and delivered on schedule to support active construction projects. Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and procure materials, equipment, and services for industrial utility and construction projects Issue purchase orders (POs) and requests for quotation (RFQs/RFPs) Communicate daily with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and commercial conditions with vendors Track orders and proactively resolve delays, shortages, and delivery issues Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to support project schedules Identify and evaluate new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation Support project cost control and budget tracking activities Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality requirements Work within construction timelines and rapidly changing project needs Use and maintain company ERP system for all purchasing, tracking, and procurement workflows Required Qualifications Bilingual in English and Korean Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain Experience in construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred Strong understanding of purchasing processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and procurement/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) or similar platforms Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Experience in battery manufacturing, EV, semiconductor, or industrial infrastructure projects Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or utility systems Experience working with international suppliers or freight coordination Supply chain certifications (CSCP, CPSM, or similar)
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
