Buyer Job Description As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the procurement of materials, equipment, and services essential to building and launching our Terran R rockets. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing aligned with our mission to revolutionize aerospace through additive manufacturing. Responsibilities Process purchase requests into purchase orders using ERP systems efficiently and accurately. Collaborate with internal teams to gather procurement requirements and translate them into RFQs and POs. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to optimize value for the business. Manage supplier relationships under the guidance of Category Managers to ensure quality and reliability. Resolve procurement issues throughout the lifecycle of an order, including invoice discrepancies and delivery delays. Support strategic sourcing initiatives to improve procurement processes and reduce costs. Essential Skills Proficiency in ERP systems, including SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Netsuite. Strong negotiation skills. Experience in purchase order creation and invoice management. Proficiency in Excel. General supply chain knowledge. Minimum of 3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in strategic sourcing initiatives. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing environment in Long Beach. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Long Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
