Full Job Description Duration:
3 month duration with possible Temp to Hire Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Agent to join our team within the aerospace industry . In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring high-quality materials and components essential for aerospace manufacturing and maintenance. Your expertise in supply chain management, procurement processes, and ERP systems will drive efficiency and cost savings while ensuring compliance with industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production of cutting-edge aerospace products through strategic sourcing and supplier collaboration. Duties Must have at least 5 years experience Must have proven experience with a high volume fast paced work load Must have proven logical planning and problem solving skills Must be able to work independently with little to no assistance Must have the ability to create and innovate new processes or propose new efficiency practices with current processes Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speed. Quick learner and ability to prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needs Director Excellent customer service skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Accredited Bachelor's Degree Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure supply chain resilience. Oversee purchase order creation, tracking, and expediting to meet production schedules while adhering to budget constraints. Coordinate logistics, shipping schedules, and customs documentation to ensure timely delivery of materials across global supply chains. Monitor procurement metrics related to cost savings, lead times, and supplier quality; implement continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing practices. Experience Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing sectors. Knowledge of ERP systems such as
SAP, SAP ERP, JD
Edwards, Oracle EBS or AS400 for materials management and procurement activities. Strong understanding of materials management principles including MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
