Procurement Agent Role Overview The Technical Procurement Advisor is responsible for managing the sourcing and procurement of technical equipment, systems, software, and specialized components. This role focuses on delivering cost-effective procurement solutions through strategic negotiations, supplier management, and market intelligence. Key Responsibilities Technical Procurement Negotiate favorable pricing, contract terms, volume discounts, and long-term agreements with suppliers. Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for technical goods, including engineered products, systems, and software solutions. Maintain a strong understanding of technology trends, supplier capabilities, cost structures, and market dynamics. Review supplier claims, contracts, and purchase orders for compliance with internal policies. Address delivery issues, quality concerns, and contractual discrepancies with suppliers, including negotiating resolutions or refunds. Career Level Advisor Scope and Focus Apply advanced expertise within procurement and related disciplines to achieve project and operational goals. Lead or support short- to mid-term projects, managing scope, cost, timelines, and outcomes. Solve complex, non-routine challenges requiring creativity, innovation, and independent judgment. Negotiate and resolve supplier and contract issues independently. Contribute to the successful delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and timeline expectations. Core Responsibilities Review and negotiate commercial agreements across a range of procurement categories. Identify and implement cost-reduction and value-optimization strategies across the supply chain. Apply industry best practices in negotiation and sourcing to achieve optimal outcomes. Use financial, logistical, and analytical tools to support procurement decisions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities. Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Develop and implement category management strategies aligned with organizational goals. Build subject matter expertise in managed procurement categories. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and efficiency. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Support the protection of organizational assets, including financial, physical, and information security. Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in negotiating contracts and commercial agreements. Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies and cost optimization techniques. Ability to analyze financial, commercial, and operational data to inform decision-making. Experience collaborating with stakeholders and managing supplier relationships. Familiarity with procurement policies, compliance, and category management practices. Preferred Qualifications At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within telecommunications, wireless, or carrier services categories. Strong expertise in negotiating and managing contracts for networking or technology-related services.
