) and private companies, with an increasing focus on commercial partnerships. In particular, our satellites have been selected for flagship missions such as NASA Artemis-1 and NASA DART.
The company is advancing several major missions, such as a 40-satellite Earth observation constellation for integration into the Italian IRIDE program, as well as scientific missions such as LUMIO and HENON, and many other cutting-edge space projects. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Procurement Specialist in our California team, you will oversee and define procurement processes, ensuring supply chain continuity, supplier management, cost optimization and compliance. Specific duties include (but are not limited to): Purchase goods, materials and services to meet operational needs, considering price, quality, and delivery time to ensure supply chain continuity; Conduct supplier scouting to identify new partners and develop strategic collaborations, while actively managing the supplier portfolio through audits and performance evaluations; Perform in-depth market analysis to anticipate industry trends, risks, and opportunities; Work closely with engineering and project management teams to support sourcing activities throughout the product development phases; Ensure procurement integration in projects, maintain clear communication and efficiently managing technical requirements; Support the definition of sourcing strategies for new programs, evaluating "Make or Buy" options and alternative technologies; Negotiate prices, contractual terms, and quality requirements with suppliers, developing long-term strategic agreements where necessary; Conduct value analysis to identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities; Define and implement Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization plans, continuously monitoring savings and supplier performance; Contribute to procurement digitalization by supporting the adoption of advanced tools for automation and data analysis (e.g., ERP implementation, KPI management, AI for sourcing); Develop and monitor procurement KPIs to measure performance and drive data-driven decision-making; Manage and update supplier master data and procurement parameters in company systems; Oversee non-conformity management and supplier continuous improvement processes; Ensure compliance with industry regulations and manage Export Control for ITAR/EAR
items. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Team player and a "Do what it takes" attitude; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related fields; Minimum 3 years of direct experience in a similar role; U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required; Excellent written and oral communication in English; Knowledge of key procurement processes and tools (ERP, e-procurement systems). Good understanding of purchasing contracts and financial aspects. Ability to work in a fast-paced and growing environment, contributing to the evolution of the procurement function. Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset; Excellent communication and negotiation skill. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of aerospace standards (EN9100, ECSS) and regulatory requirements; Experience in contract negotiation and strategic supplier management; Understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization methodologies. ARGOTEC OFFERS
