Oxbo is the worldwide leader in specialty harvesters. We design, manufacture, and distribute innovative harvesting equipment and related products for the application, berry, citrus, coffee, field corn, forage, fresh market vegetable, olives, processed vegetable, seed, and vineyard markets.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Buyer is responsible for leading the full procurement activities to directly support production continuity, aftermarket parts availability, and inventory optimization. This role collaborates closely with Planning, Production, Sales, and the Parts Business Manager to ensure the cost effective and timely availability of components and OEM aftermarket parts. The Senior Buyer plays a key role in maintaining ERP data integrity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for procurement of materials, components, and services required to support production schedules and operational needs. Work directly with Planning and Production teams to ensure on-time availability of parts.
  • Collaborates closely with Sales to ensure timely procurement of OEM aftermarket parts.
  • Partners with the Parts Business Manager to maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure parts availability aligns with business demand.
  • Responsible to monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules to proactively mitigate delays or shortages.
  • Responsible to maintain accurate purchasing data, item masters, and supplier records within the ERP system.
  • Plays a key role in ERP transition activities from Syspro to QAD, including data validation, system testing, and process alignment.
  • Ensures ERP data integrity through ongoing review, maintenance, and adherence to data governance standards.
  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for cost reductions, process improvements, and supplier optimization.
  • Supports effective and efficient business practice.
  • Embraces and follows all safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Maintains positive business relationships, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
  • Collaborates with engineering on new product development and supplier identified cost reduction idea generation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with production, planning, sales and engineering teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Syspro and/or QAD strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in the use and execution of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office
  • Good understanding and ability to execute fundamental math concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to analyze, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, strongly self-motivated
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in OEM or aftermarket parts procurement
  • Previous involvement in ERP implementation or system migration projects
  • Advanced Excel or data analysis skills
  • Familiarity with inventory planning and demand forecasting
Pay:
$73,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
