DUTIES:

• Selects possible sources for required material or services from the Approved Supplier List and initiates request for Quotation.
• Assures that Procurement Quality Assurance approves sources.
• Plans and schedules hardware orders in accordance with the repair requirements.
• Determines best source considering, delivery time, cost savings quality.
• Signs and releases purchase orders.
• Interfaces with accounting to resolve problems relevant to receipt of hardware and verification of quantity.
• Interfaces with various departments to resolve problems with timely delivery, rejections, etc.
• Initiates change request when necessary.
• Implements continuous improvement in assigned tasks.
• Follows up with vendors regarding orders.
• Maintains records and files as needed.
• Maintains inventory control procedures
• Develops minimum inventory on hand to support repair shops.
• Follows instructions of superiors and advises them of difficulties or deficiencies that may prevent the timely completion of duties.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma required, two-year (Associate) or four-year (Bachelor) college degree and 2-5 years in procurement, production planning and/or scheduling within the Aviation business desirable . Strong verbal and oral communication and organizational skills and leadership qualities required. Strong PC skills with word processing, spreadsheets, and graphs.
