We utilize the latest technologies including 5-Axis Milling, Multi-Axis Turning, and Automated-Pallet Changing/Lights-out Production systems, CMM Inspection equipment. Most of the products that we build here are flying to Space and to Mars. You should expect a family environment and a true teamwork mentality at Alva. However, you should also expect the work pressure and the pace to be high because we want people to rise to their full potential. The organization is expanding to multiple locations within Orange County, as well as building the R D team to develop our own Robotics system. Description:

The Senior Buyer is responsible to source pricing and lead times from approved Alva's External Providers and/or customer approved sources that are capable of providing quality products that can meet customer quality and drawing requirements. The requirements include various raw material products, tooling, hardware, and outsourced processor services that meet on-time target goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Accountable for Purchasing process to be managed to the AS9100 Quality Management Systems process established and update as necessary to meet Business requirements Direct and monitor the timely management of all Purchase Orders (Includes purchase price accuracy and dates) Assure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership Monitors vendor performance and ensures corrective actions are undertaken as necessary Review prices and expected delivery dates proposed by suppliers and choose the best valued bid to place order Track purchases from order placement until it arrives in-house Create and update vendor database files in the system in order to establish authorized vendor status Schedule pick-up/delivery with driver to assure products are flowing simultaneously Coordinate delivery schedule from vendors to internal stakeholders to assure the contract due date is met Support estimating team on new projects by obtaining requested quotes when needed

Skills/Qualifications:

Strong MRP/ERP skills Exceptional organizational skills, decision-making skills, ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to problem solve with good business ethics Minimum 5 years of experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience, 3+ years of aerospace and/or manufacturing experience preferred Proficient using MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Adobe products, and MRP system Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements Understanding of manufacturing drawings and processes as well as knowledge of machine shop practices and experience supporting personnel Strong and effective negotiation skills We also need following questions to be answered when submitting your resume to this: 1.
