Job Description

Description We are looking for a Sr. Buyer to support purchasing operations for a healthcare organization in Roseville, California. This Long-term Contract position focuses on sourcing supplies and equipment, managing vendor relationships, and helping maintain efficient inventory and storage practices. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, pricing and product research experience, and the ability to coordinate purchasing activities while supporting compliance and reporting needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the procurement of stocked supplies and equipment, ensuring timely purchasing decisions that align with operational needs.
  • Review products, pricing, and supplier options to recommend cost-effective purchasing solutions and support informed decision-making.
  • Confirm purchase orders and monitor vendor performance to ensure contract adherence, accurate fulfillment, and dependable service.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, terms, and product availability to achieve value and maintain continuity of supply.
  • Support product substitutions, transportation coordination, storage planning, and inventory control to keep materials available and organized.
  • Maintain supply areas in a safe, orderly, and compliant condition while helping preserve accurate inventory levels.
  • Contribute to product evaluations and cost analyses to identify opportunities for savings, standardization, and improved purchasing outcomes.
  • Prepare audit support documents and year-end purchasing or accounts payable reporting materials as needed.
  • Resolve moderately complex purchasing issues by applying sound judgment and providing practical recommendations to internal stakeholders. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or technical degree is preferred.
  • At least four years of relevant experience in purchasing, buying, procurement, or supply chain support is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of vendor negotiations, pricing analysis, contract compliance, and purchasing processes.
  • Experience with inventory oversight, storage coordination, and supply distribution in a structured operating environment.
  • Ability to research products, compare options, and perform cost analysis to support procurement decisions.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable documentation, audit support, and year-end reporting activities is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills with the ability to handle moderately complex assignments.
  • Ability to meet employment conditions applicable to the organization, including vaccination requirements where required by policy and participation in E-Verify.
