Job Description

Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for a Buyer in San Diego, CA. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekly pay and an opportunity to expand your experience.   • :•As a Buyer I, you will support the purchasing department to improve its global supply chain performance (cost, quality, delivery, service, innovation).
Assist the Purchasing strategy and commodity roadmap definition, deploy best practices and tools to ensure cost reduction and supplier contracting objectives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • :•+ Contribute to the Cost reduction objective plan defined for the commodities for suppliers assigned.
+ Support the Purchasing Manager in the Purchasing roadmaps by providing inputs and results on the commodities and suppliers managed. + Support the Buyers by creating supplier contracts on time into the ERP system. Reconcile differences in price or quantity of received supplier products with the Accounts Payable and Receiving departments. + Interface with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Planning, Facilities and other departments as necessary to ensure the purchasing of materials requirements are met. + Support the Purchasing Manager to ensure the supplier respects the main planning's milestones and delivers the document and/or parts accordingly and control of the cost, quality and logistic terms. + Assist the Purchasing Manager to prepare reports and other records pertaining to the items or services purchased, cost, delivery, product or service performance, supplier performance and/or inventories, as applicable. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered: + Bachelors degree preferred + 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or planning + SAP or other ERP experience is highly preferred + Strong Microsoft office Word, Power Point and Excel skills

  • $32.
