Months Contract Job Duties:
Requires experience buying small component parts, hard drives and cables. Needs familiarity with the standard distribution suppliers. MRP experience is preferred. Knowledge of a PO system (no specific one required). Ensures timely order placement of product or service requirements from pre-selected sources of supply. Issues releases against pre-established blanket purchase orders. Provides follow-up information on delivery schedule status. Prepares and maintains reports and files. Provides general assistance to Buyers and Section Managers in routine purchasing activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Minimum of 8-10 years of direct purchasing experience; Requires knowledge of purchasing systems and procedures. Word processing and spreadsheet skills highly desirable; Electronic component experience, preferred
