Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Job Description We are seeking an experienced Sr. Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and contract administration functions. This role is responsible for managing procurement activities including reviewing requisitions, sourcing vendors, coordinating bids, and ensuring compliance with public sector regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in procurement, contract management, and competitive bidding , preferably within the public sector, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and perform procurement activities for supplies, equipment, materials, and services Review and prioritize requisitions to ensure timely processing Obtain price quotes, proposals, and evaluate vendor options Manage informal bid processes under CUPCCAA and assist with formal bid procedures Issue and award purchase orders Maintain procurement databases and inventory records Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local procurement laws and regulations Maintain accurate purchasing and financial records Select appropriate vendors and service providers based on organizational needs Communicate procurement policies and procedures to internal stakeholders Support contract administration and maintain confidentiality of records Qualifications Education Associate's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Finance , or a related field Experience Minimum 3 years of purchasing, contracts, or procurement experience At least 2 years of lead or supervisory experience preferred Public sector procurement experience strongly preferred Skills & Knowledge Strong knowledge of procurement principles, competitive bidding, and contract administration Familiarity with public sector regulations including Public Contracts, Government Codes, Title 5, and GASB standards Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance Additional Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and perform frequent computer work Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and maintain professional relationships
