Full Job Description Description:
The Purchasing Coordinator supports day-to-day purchasing operations by maintaining accurate system data, tracking order status, and supporting clear and consistent communication across teams. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a foundation in supply chain and procurement within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Enter and maintain accurate purchasing data in NetSuite, ensuring all records are up to date and complete. Monitor and update order status, including backorders, late shipments, and delivery timelines. Track incoming shipments and flag delays, discrepancies, or missing information. Maintain and update purchasing trackers and spreadsheets for team visibility. Monitor Zendesk tickets and ensure updates are properly recorded and communicated. Coordinate internally with purchasing, operations, and engineering teams to support alignment on order status and priorities. Maintain organized supplier and order documentation for easy reference and audit readiness. Flag missing, incomplete, or inconsistent data to prevent downstream delays. Support general administrative tasks for the purchasing team as needed. Assist with additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in an administrative, operations, or support role preferred. Associate's degree preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and tracking. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through consistently. Comfortable working in systems and spreadsheets (NetSuite, Zendesk, Excel, or Google Sheets). Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams. Ability to identify gaps or inconsistencies and escalate appropriately. Reliable, consistent, and able to work in a structured, process-driven environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) or ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk). Familiarity with basic purchasing or supply chain concepts. Experience maintaining or working with structured trackers, logs, or databases. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. Interest in developing a career in purchasing, supply chain, or operations.
