Job Description:
Procurement Specialist Brooksville, FL Temporary (4 Weeks) | Potential Temp-to-Hire Step into a high-impact procurement role where your expertise directly supports essential community operations. TempExperts is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join a well-established public sector organization on a 4-week assignment with strong potential to transition into a long-term opportunity. This is a fully in-office role where you'll play a key part in managing vendor relationships, driving competitive sourcing processes, and ensuring compliance across all purchasing activities.
Responsibilities:
Partner with internal departments to validate purchasing needs and ensure proper procurement procedures are followed. Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and service agreements with vendors. Develop and manage RFQs, ITBs, and RFPs from initiation through award. Coordinate pre-bid meetings, bid openings, vendor communications, and addenda. Evaluate vendor qualifications, performance, and overall value. Interpret and apply procurement policies, regulations, and legal requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the procurement lifecycle.
Experience:
Experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract administration (public sector preferred). Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Ability to interpret and apply procurement laws, regulations, and policies. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
