Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Buyer II to support facilities procurement operations. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, driving supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that meet quality, cost, and safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is data-driven, and brings strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills .
Responsibilities:
Manage suppliers and internal stakeholders to support facilities operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects. Prioritize and execute procurement activities to meet evolving operational requirements. Develop and issue RFPs/RFQs; conduct price and cost analyses; build negotiation strategies. Negotiate and administer various contract types (e.g., service agreements, construction contracts, long-term agreements, sourcing partnerships). Own the full procurement lifecycle-from requisition creation through invoice resolution and payment. Lead sourcing and management of strategic agreements for facilities categories such as MRO, building services, and equipment. Align procurement activities with organizational goals and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. Ensure on-time delivery of materials and services within budget while meeting quality and safety standard
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree with 3+ years of experience. Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management, preferably within facilities, MRO, or indirect categories. Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) R).Proven experience negotiating and managing multiple contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, service agreement s).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data and procurement metrics. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with facilities compliance and safety standards (e.g., OSHA) A).Ability to interpret statements of work, technical specifications, and building drawings. Experience supporting facilities, real estate, construction, or manufacturing procurements. Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and MRO procurements. Understanding of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CPSM or CSCP) PMP or Facilities Management certifications (FMP/CFM) Experience with tools and systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Jira, Point, or CMMS platforms.
