$54.31 per hour Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Buyer III to manage the end-to-end procurement of indirect materials and services, with a specialized focus on Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, Engineering Technology/Information Technology (ET/IT) hardware, and aerospace-related goods and services. This role requires strong supplier management, sourcing, and negotiation skills, along with the ability to navigate procurement requirements in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in indirect procurement, experience working with ERP systems, and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Strategic Sourcing Execute the full procurement lifecycle for indirect categories, including COTS products, ET/IT hardware, and aerospace materials and services. Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and service levels. Develop and manage Requests for Quote (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), conducting competitive bid analyses. Identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives. Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Procurement Manage procurement activities for standard COTS products across multiple categories. Drive catalog buying initiatives and standardization efforts to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Maintain strong relationships with distributors, manufacturers, and key suppliers. ET/IT Hardware Procurement Procure engineering technology and information technology hardware, including: Computing equipment Networking components Peripherals Test equipment Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to understand technical requirements and specifications. Ensure hardware acquisitions align with security, compatibility, and lifecycle management standards. Aerospace Procurement Support procurement of aerospace-related materials, components, and services. Ensure compliance with quality certifications, traceability requirements, and aerospace industry standards. Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to define technical and compliance requirements. Supplier & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to maximize value and achieve cost savings. Resolve supplier performance issues, including quality concerns, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities support business objectives and project timelines. Compliance & Documentation Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations. Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation. Support audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered. 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in indirect procurement. Demonstrated experience procuring Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products and IT/technology hardware. Strong negotiation, supplier management, and relationship-building skills. Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience within aerospace, defense, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries. Knowledge of aerospace quality standards, compliance requirements, and traceability practices. Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalent. Experience with category management and strategic sourcing methodologies.
