Our Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist or S enior Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist (Buyer Level 3 or 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will support our Global Supply Chain team and will be located in Melbourne, Florida. This position is 100% on-site/in-person Opportunity to join a high-performing supply chain team focused on building a strong and inclusive culture built on a foundation of:Diversity Learning & Growth Innovation Excellent Customer Support Essential Functions:
Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required Identifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations Issues purchase orders Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below. Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 3): Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, purchasing, and/or supplier management. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting). Basic Qualifications (Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist - Level 4): Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience, a Master's degree with 6 years of experience or a High School diploma/equivalent with 12 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, and/or supplier management. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting).Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Aerospace industry experience Price analysis experience Negotiation experience Background in government procurement with familiarity ofFAR/DFARS
Experience using SAP/S4 or similar ERP systems Active DoD Secret clearancePrimary Level Salary Range:
$73,900.00 - $110,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range:
$92,200.00 - $138,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
