Job Description:

Establishes and maintains positive relationships with vendors and suppliers. Independently procures materials and services based on the established site business model. Aggressively seeks and secures cost savings and/or cost avoidances on raw materials and/or site services. Source and purchase raw materials, Lab chemicals and reagents, goods and services required by Production, Engineering, QA and QC and other BUs. Select materials based on specifications; select vendor on basis of price, capability and past performance. Follow up on orders, delivery dates and expedite delivery of materials to meet target dates, prevent excessive inventory and avoid stock shortages. Maintain "just-in-time" level of inventory. 1. Interfaces with Technical Services, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and vendors to resolve quality issues. 2. Resolution of claims with suppliers and carriers. 3. Interact with Marine Ingredients to find global synergies. 4. Enter materials data information into computer database and manage Technical and Regulatory documents for each material. 5. Search and qualify alternate vendors to create competition and avoid back orders. 6. Maintain List of Approved suppliers. 7. Maintain accurate vendor files, including price histories and any problems in doing business with particular vendors

Requirements:

Five to ten years prior related experience in a manufacturing environment. Good understanding of cGMP. Excellent knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel. Able to effectively communicate in English written and oral. Good analytical and observation skills. Good knowledge of basic mathematical skills, including measurement. Able to multi-task. Able to follow routine verbal and/or written instructions. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The JobSquad Solutions Team is made up of experts around the country.
