Business Administration Analytics Full Job Description Purchasing Agent Pay:

$27.00 - $32.00 per hour A well-established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and organized Purchasing Agent to support procurement operations and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate suppliers and market conditions to secure high-quality, cost-effective materials and services. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational abilities to maintain supplier relationships and support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of raw materials, production supplies, marketing materials, and other operational needs Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements to obtain the best value for the organization Create and issue purchase orders while verifying pricing, quantities, and material specifications Resolve pricing discrepancies, shipment issues, and supplier-related concerns in a timely manner Process and document miscellaneous purchases and coordinate supporting documentation with the Accounting/AP department Maintain accurate procurement files and purchasing records Evaluate supplier performance based on pricing, quality, availability, and delivery timelines Research and identify alternative suppliers to minimize shortages and improve pricing opportunities Review purchasing needs and recommend cost-effective alternatives when appropriate Coordinate delivery schedules and address shipping discrepancies with suppliers Analyze raw material usage and purchasing trends to optimize inventory levels and reduce obsolete stock Establish and monitor lead times for standard materials and production supplies

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, vendor management, or related field Must have strong negotiation experience with pricing, contracts, terms, and supplier agreements Strong understanding of purchasing processes, market analysis, and procurement best practices Experience with ERP/MRP systems and material forecasting Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to join a stable and growing company in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. #PRO123
