Job Description
PURPOSE The Procurement Coordinator I will work closely with the Procurement Team to support the Automation, Industrial Automation, Technology, and Service Automation Business Units by assisting with project-related activities and ensuring that projects remain on schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Complete Request for Quotes Process orders, track order confirmations, follow-up on lead times and research alternative parts Assist with material tracking by utilizing the Warehouse Management System Manage orders, ensuring prioritization by due dates Receive daily pack lists and vendor invoices, and manage the accounting folder Monitor and manage the Open Purchase Order Report for long lead times and potential receiving issues Assist with RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) requests by monitoring requests, processing returns, confirming vendor credits, tracking and reporting discrepancies and maintaining the RMA log Maintain Password One account with vendor updates and contacts Create, develop and maintain vendor relationships, keep contacts updated and stay informed of strategic vendors and contracts Quote material-only sales, process orders and contact clients regarding past due payments Serve as a backup for parts kitting and maintaining kitting schedule Update the Project Management and Procurement Teams with any issues or concerns Attend Procurement Team Meetings Collaborate with Procurement Team, sharing resources and provide assistance as neededMINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred One (1) to two (2) years' experience in construction accounting or procurement preferred Experience in construction accounting environment and/or procurement is preferred Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience with Blue Beam (PDF Reader), preferredMENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet strict deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a teamENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer Intermittent periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Occasional work in a variety of temperature and weather conditions in a warehouse environmentEQUIPMENT/TOOLS
