Job Information We have an immediate opening for a Buyer at our Davenport, IA location. This position will provide support to many operational areas of the business and will be part of the purchasing group. This position assists branch locations with purchasing requests, inventory issues, warranties and more. This is a full-time position and consists of a Monday - Friday schedule. Role & Responsibility Use our ERP system, Cloud Suite Distribution (CSD), in order to efficiently perform purchasing tasks such as enter purchase orders, track order status, investigate inventory discrepancies, update cycle counts, etc Place purchase orders with suppliers based on a number of factors including but not limited to: product usage, system requirements, review of inventory levels, customer feedback, and employee feedback Perform data analysis on new products, slow moving products, and product data integrity Prepare cost changes, price increases, and product files for upload to Republic's ERP system Monitor and process purchase order acknowledgements, confirmations, and shipment details in addition to following up on open purchase orders Monitor and transfer necessary product needs among all 10 locations Participate in vendor negotiations on pricing, freight minimums, and other procurement-related items Reconcile inventory cycle counts and review count discrepancies Schedule delivery of products from vendors Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education Required:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Experience Required:

1-3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or similar role Experience working in distribution or adjacent industry preferred Any ERP experience a plus Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Excellent problem solving abilities Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods of time at time working at a computer screen. Ability to type and talk on the phone. Ability to work, take stairs, and navigate a warehouse environment occasionally. Work Environment Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. The Republic and T.F.
