Job Description

We encourage candidates from a variety of backgrounds to apply. SUMMARY Primarily responsible for the purchasing and expediting of all materials to meet production needs. Responsible for negotiating best price and service for materials purchased.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Purchases parts and expedites parts orders to meet production and parts sales requirements. Negotiates with suppliers for the best price, quality of product, and on time delivery. Submits purchase orders to suppliers. Works with engineering to find new suppliers and develop prototype parts. Manages vendor relationships to ensure high levels of service. Works with quality department to remedy issues with parts quality. Resolves invoice pricing problems. Sets up new suppliers in manufacturing system. Manages parts stocking levels.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Six months to one year experience preferred, but not required.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend documents and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external individuals and groups.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word and Excel. Ability to learn new computer programs such as the manufacturing system, Intuitive.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Must possess solid organizational skills.
