Job Description:

Aegis is partnered with a long-standing manufacturer of custom industrial lifting equipment that is experiencing strong growth and expanding operations. This organization operates a large manufacturing facility and is investing heavily in new equipment, facility expansion, and ERP modernization. They are seeking a Junior Buyer to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced, custom manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Review production schedules and material requirements Create and manage purchase orders for steel, hardware, and components Communicate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and availability Track orders and resolve shortages or delivery issues Maintain purchasing data within ERP systems (transitioning to Epicor) Support cost savings initiatives and supplier sourcing Work cross-functionally with production and engineering

Requirements:

3+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing Experience buying steel or fabricated components preferred ERP system experience Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills Ability to work in small, collaborative team environment Ideal background: job shop, machine builder, fabrication, OEM manufacturing.
