Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports strategic sourcing initiatives focused on optimizing the total cost of ownership for clinical and non-clinical supplies, equipment, and services. Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain, this role assists with sourcing projects and manages assigned activities across the supplier lifecycle, including supplier evaluation, negotiations, pricing analysis, and contract support, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred with 2 years of experience in healthcare supply chain procurement or sourcing OR combination of high school diploma/college education and 6 years related experience may be considered. Strong understanding of medical supplies, purchased services and supplier management in a clinical environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teams. Strong analytical skills to analyze data and generate actionable insights. Solid negotiation skills with supplier management experience. Knowledge of sourcing methodologies required. Certifications (e.g., C.P.M., CRPM, CPSM a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems, i.e. PeopleSoft.
