Job Title:

Buyer Job Description The Buyer professional will be responsible for purchasing materials, managing inventory, and working with suppliers to support efficient production, cost control, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities Plan and purchase materials using MRP and pull-based systems to support production and customer demand. Build and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing, delivery terms, and performance criteria. Maintain inventory levels, expedite orders, and resolve material shortages or discrepancies. Support lean inventory and just-in-time practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Essential Skills Expertise in purchasing and procurement processes. Experience with purchase orders and ERP systems. Ability to plan and manage inventory effectively. Strong negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in vendor management. 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing environment. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using ERP/MRP systems for material planning and purchasing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

APICS/CPIM

Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Albany, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
