BACKGROUND
Incorporated in 1998, Intelsius specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of temperature-controlled packaging and regulatory-compliant sample transport solutions. On a day-to-day basis, our purpose is simple: To assure our customers' product and sample integrity, with minimal impact on the environment.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for the day-to-day ordering and procurement activities of the business, specifically regarding product material as well as administrative and warehouse supplies or services. Monitor and continuously improve the performance of existing & new suppliers. Maintain working relationships with vendors and fulfil ISO supplier tracking paperwork and records. Assist inventory in analysis on stock levels and usage of materials throughout operations. Assist with research and implementation of new processes when involved with researching and purchasing effective equipment or new stock. Operate in compliance with company rules, legislation & procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Participate in a strategy to meet the future business needs regarding the availability and tracking of quality components to insure the smooth and effective running of the production operations.
  • Read, review, and understand part diagrams to communicate effectively with Technical and Quality Control to source required parts.
  • Responsible to meet KPI's for each function within purchasing.
  • Perform operation processes pertaining to purchasing, including identifying and implementing improvements and promoting best practices in communication.
  • Optimize efficiencies and effectiveness of all material resources through proper planning, review, and use of the current inventory system.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement programs, whether to improve, housekeeping, process(es), or best cost reduction practices.
  • Analysis of purchasing options to ensure materials are available on-time to meet customer's needs. Required
  • Ability to be a team player.
  • Highly organized with an ability to analyse and maintain accuracy of data with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to agreed timescales.
Ability to work on own initiative. A degree of mechanical knowledge when it comes to purchasing equipment for warehouse processes. Be able to draft and write an e-mail. Be able to read part print files and measurements in Standard and Metric Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Office, Word, etc) Driver's license & dependable transportation. Preferred
  • Experience within purchasing and/or inventory control in a manufacturing & production business.
  • Strong relationship building skills, good communicator, and experience participating and/or leading in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with design file types such as CAD or DXF files.
