MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are now hiring for a Procurement Coordinator in the Hebron, KY area!
Position Details Shift:
1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM (hours may vary)
Pay:
$18.25/hour Position Summary The Procurement Coordinator supports inventory control, purchasing, and supply management activities across both the fulfillment center and corporate office. This role helps ensure operational teams have the materials, supplies, and equipment needed to support daily business operations while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting cost control initiatives. This position partners closely with Operations, Facilities, Finance, and Leadership teams to manage inventory transactions, receiving processes, purchase orders, vendor coordination, and procurement-related projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies Maintain accurate inventory records in company systems Monitor inventory levels and proactively identify replenishment needs Support annual physical inventory processes Receiving & Inventory Transactions Receive and process incoming shipments Verify quantities, inspect deliveries, and reconcile packing slips against purchase orders Accurately enter inventory receipts into company systems Coordinate with vendors and internal teams regarding receiving discrepancies Maintain organized receiving and inventory storage areas Procurement & Purchasing Order packaging materials, warehouse supplies, office supplies, and operational consumables Support procurement activities for both the Fulfillment Center and Corporate Headquarters Create and manage purchase orders Track open orders and follow up with vendors on delivery timelines Assist with sourcing products and obtaining supplier quotes Support cost-saving initiatives and vendor management efforts Vendor & Stakeholder Support Build and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships Partner with Operations, Facilities, HR, Finance, and Leadership to understand purchasing needs Resolve vendor issues such as shortages, damaged goods, and invoice discrepancies Assist with vendor onboarding and required documentation Reporting & Administrative Support Maintain procurement and purchasing records Generate inventory, purchasing, and supply usage reports Track spending and support budget management efforts Assist with audits and compliance activities Support special projects and additional administrative tasks as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control, procurement, purchasing, receiving, warehouse operations, or administrative support Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems Experience creating and managing purchase orders Experience supporting fulfillment center, warehouse, or manufacturing operations Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of inventory control and cycle count processes Knowledge of purchasing and procurement workflows Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to identify process improvement opportunities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments Ability to walk throughout the facility as needed Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout inventory storage areas as required Key Success Measures Inventory accuracy Cycle count completion and compliance Purchase order accuracy On-time ordering and supply replenishment Vendor responsiveness and issue resolution Cost management and procurement efficiency Internal customer satisfaction Ready to Apply?
