Purchasing Material Control Agent Location:
Amelia, LA Position Overview:
A Purchasing Material Control Agent coordinates activities involved with acquiring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc., in addition to supporting material control functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to purchase request generated by repair demands. Identify suppliers. Maintain warehouse inventory / perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count. Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation. Create purchase orders in computer system. Maintain manual and computerized procurement records. Resolve shipment quality/quantity discrepancies. Maintain warehouse inventory / perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count. Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation. Facilitate inspections, substitutions, and standardization of material needed. Deliver parts, equipment and material to location by arranging shipping as required. Expedite material deliveries as required.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience purchasing or related field.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to interpret blueprints is a plus. Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). Good Communication Skills. Strong Organizational Skills.
