In this influential role, you will act as a subject matter expert, delivering expertise in commercial and procurement practices to improve turnaround performance, maximize value, and guide organizational decisions. This position offers a great opportunity to work alongside business units and global procurement to drive success in a dynamic environment.

Location:

Baton Rouge, LA Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 7:00am-4:00pm (likely overtime required)

Payrate:

$65 per hour

Travel:

Stateside travel, 2-3 days per quarter

Assignment Duration:

ASAP start; 1 year with potential for extension

Main Functions:

Consult with the organization, leveraging advanced knowledge of the commercial or business landscape Serve as a subject matter expert to develop, assess, and enhance operations or commercial strategy Make recommendations and guide client decision-making Lead or support commercial practice improvement initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness Advocate for use of fit-for-purpose commercial practices, standards, and tools Support prioritization of commercial opportunities and negotiations on behalf of the business Act autonomously with minimal to moderate direction

Key Responsibilities:

Support turnaround activities as part of the procurement team Collaborate with business units and global procurement to source equipment, materials, and craft labor Partner with contract managers to identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities; offer strategic recommendations Build and maintain excellent supplier relationships

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors in related field preferred (Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering etc.) Minimum of 5 years of relevant procurement experience, ideally in the refinery or chemical plant environment Turnaround project experience highly preferred Strong interpersonal and analytical skills Expertise in Ariba, SAP S/4 HANA, and Power BI Why Kelly®?
