Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is looking for a motivated Procurement Analyst to support essential purchasing and supply-chain functions across our secure, high-demand environment. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:

Learns and applies the Louisiana Procurement Code to support the accurate and compliant acquisition of goods and services for the agency, developing a strong foundation in state purchasing regulations and procedures. Assists in coordinating the full solicitation process under close supervision, including preparing bid requests, evaluating vendor submissions, and supporting fair and responsible vendor selection. Supports communication with vendors and agency staff, helping draft and review correspondence related to contract terms, delivery schedules, quality expectations, and order modifications. Monitors and follows up on deliveries, verifying receipt, quality, and accuracy of materials and ensuring any discrepancies are addressed promptly.

Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted. An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted. This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
