Job Description

Corin is recruiting for an Instrument Buyer and Inventory Planner to support the day-to-day procurement process, ensuring that the right goods and services are ordered, delivered on time, and cost-effectively, while building strong supplier relationships and contributing to overall supply chain performance. This position will be onsite in our Raynham, MA facility. The key responsibilities of the Instrument Buyer and Inventory Planner are/to: Order processing: prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders and ensuring accuracy. Follow up on order confirmations as well as updating the dates into the system. Need to be able to create, assemble, and send quote and purchase order packages including, prints, specifications, inspection criteria and other required documentation to suppliers. Inventory & stock control: Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and coordinate restocking to maintain optimal stock. Report and communicate Instrument inventory availability throughout all the different department needs.
Record Keeping:
Maintain and update purchase orders, supplier information, pricing data and delivery dates. Manage a working spreadsheet to always be up to date with any changes presented to the team.
Coordination:
Liaise with internal departments (e.g. Quality, receiving, production, customer service, field service, accounts payable) to understand needs and ensure timely deliveries. Evaluate instrument orders, instrument set-down requirements, forecast requirements, and opportunistic consignment opportunities against the available supply. Resolve receiving issues found during receiving and quality inspection. Communication with suppliers: Maintain a regular communication cadence with key internal and external suppliers / key deliveries. Routinely align with suppliers on open PO lines, quantities, and delivery dates. Expedite suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials. The ideal Instrument Buyer and Inventory Planner will have/be: A bachelor s degree in business administration or related field of study, OR 5 years of related purchasing experience. Previous medical industry experience preferred. Experience in using ERP systems and maintaining data point integrity. Experience with setting and maintaining planning parameters for MRP. A skilled user of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook. A strong verbal and written communication skillset with experience in effective cross-team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to build relationships internally and externally. Demonstrated problem-solving experience related to supply and demand. A self-starter who works with the appropriate level of urgency. Demonstrated disciplined thought and actions. Detail-oriented and well-organized. Strong analytical and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks Attention to detail Communication skills for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams Ability to priorities tasks and work in a fast-paced environment The base pay range for this position is $55,000-70,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate s experience, education, and skill set.
