The position manages parts inventory, schedules and plans preventive maintenance (PM), and utilizes a computer-based program for inventory control, PM scheduling, and purchasing. Directly contacts vendors to place orders for the correct part and quantity. Reports to the Maintenance manager. The position back up is the maintenance supervisor. Description Works with other departments to coordinate schedule maintenance. Receives, issues and stores hand tools, power tools, materials and equipment in industrial establishment. Receives requisitions from supervisors and mechanics for projects, work orders, and to replenish inventory. Converts requisitions into purchase orders and places orders. Orders parts as needed to maintain inventory levels and reduce machine downtime. Leads CMMS development, optimization, and system data integrity. Manages parts inventory levels to reduce machine downtime. Schedules and plans all preventive maintenance (PM) activities. Communicate with suppliers and manufacturing representatives to review prices and technical information. Coordinated receiving of items delivered to Maintenance but ordered by others. Schedules and plans all preventive maintenance (PM) activities. Maintains accurate, accessible paperwork for all inbound materials and parts orders. Receives requisitions from supervisors and mechanics for projects and work orders. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or GED required College Degree preferred but not required Related Experience/Requirements Must be able to read and write English. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Must have the skills to deal with outside vendors in both an effective and professional manner. Must understand and be able to work with maintenance parts manuals. Proven knowledge and working experience with CMMS systems. Experience in parts inventory management, PM scheduling, and planning. Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs.

Must be able to:

step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed, and climb stairs and ladders numerous times a day. Works in refrigerated areas for extended periods of times on a regular basis.

Pay:

$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
