The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to support our construction and restoration operations from our Baltimore office. This role is responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, placing stock and job-specific orders, and ensuring technicians and project teams have the correct parts when they need them. This position works closely with service, construction, and parts teams and plays a key role in keeping jobs moving efficiently.
What You'll Do:
Place and manage stock orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels Review stocking levels regularly and identify items that are low or need replenishment Interpret parts lists and job requirements to order correct materials for construction projects Order parts for service calls as needed to support technicians in the field Assist with pricing updates, vendor cost changes, and internal price maintenance Coordinate with vendors to confirm availability, lead times, and order status Support internal teams by answering parts and availability questions Maintain accurate records within purchasing and inventory systems Assist with receiving and labeling parts for jobs
What We're Looking For:
Previous purchasing or inventory experience preferred (construction, mechanical or industrial environments a plus) Ability to read and interpret part descriptions, bills of material, and job requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs Ability to learn new ERP systems Able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Work Environment & Schedule:
