Job Description

Expected hourly range of $18 to $20, varies based on experience.

Primary Purpose of PositionAn integral part of the Temporary Procurement Assistant function will be ordering, expediting, and searching for alternative suppliers to fulfill parts on backorder and for least cost alternative suppliers. The Temporary Procurement Assistant will take a proactive approach to customer communication on parts ordering and ETA status, as well as, expediting parts ordered for fulfillment, maintaining a daily log of parts ordered and receipt to ensure premier customer service through timely delivery.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities
  • Acts as a liaison between product suppliers and manufacturers and the sales, installation and service divisions of the company with respect to product updates and customer service.
  • Assists in ordering, procurement, facilitation, and processing of parts, accessories and materials.
  • Interacts with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure parts are delivered same day/next day as needed.
  • Maintain and update expediting records for all processed orders.
  • Spend extensive time working with system applications, supplier and customer interactions, and other procurement-related activities. Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with suppliers, management, and internal personnel
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willing and available to work overtime when required
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) platforms
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in the HVAC or appliance service and repair industry supporting residential and commercial equipment
