Role:
As a Purchase Buyer II, you will manage and optimize procurement processes, focusing on cost control, sourcing (domestic & international), supplier development, and inventory management for a wide range of automation and logistics commodities. You'll also be responsible for ensuring compliance, maintaining supplier accounts, and handling procurement-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage Class 'A' & 'B' supplier relationships and performance. Develop alternate sources for commodities such as PLCs, industrial PCs, sensors, and mechanical components. Prioritize purchase requests, ensure on-time, cost-effective procurement, and resolve procurement queries with internal teams. Oversee capital procurement and ensure compliance with company SOPs. Manage inventory levels and recommend cost-saving alternatives. Prepare and analyze procurement reports, monitor pending orders, and update goal-tracking documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience. Advanced skills with ERP/SCM systems and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI). Strong negotiation, financial analysis, and cost modeling skills. Experience with supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and compliance. Proactive and organized with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives.
