SENIOR BUYER - NORTH AMERICA TOOLED COMPONENTSSOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS
As a member of the E-Systems purchasing team, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for supporting global purchasing initiatives as it pertains to the North American region for tooled components. You'll work with global cross functional teams and suppliers to implement cost savings opportunities, ensure cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements while executing commodity strategies and supply contracts.The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to: Deliver Total Landed Cost Improvements while pursuing specific targetsSupport and execute global sourcing strategies and contractsEnsure coordination of purchasing initiatives with all regionsBuild and maintain relationships, both internal and with suppliers, which enhance our ability to deliver savingsSupport operational targets and inventory management actionsYour Qualifications:
BS Degree in related fieldTechnical understanding of tooled components (plastic, rubber, metal)Understanding of purchasing commodity managementAbility to close out open issues in a timely fashionStrong written communication and presentation skillsStrong negotiation capabilitiesSupplier relationship managementAbility to collaborate with leaders across many functions and regionsStrong leadership abilitiesAbility to work cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales and Program Management Lear Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse workplace.
