Sterling Heights, MI Pay:
Up to $33/hour We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to manage supplier relationships, subcontract administration, and purchasing operations . This role is responsible for overseeing RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, and purchase order management to support program and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of procurement and subcontract administration , including fixed-price and cost-reimbursable agreements. Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and Oracle system requirements to support purchasing decisions. Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs , and perform detailed cost and price analysis . Lead supplier negotiations , including pricing, terms, and conditions. Create, place, and manage purchase orders , ensuring supplier compliance and on-time delivery. Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, internal teams, and program stakeholders . Resolve quality, design, and payment issues with subcontractors. Support source selection processes , supplier reviews, and procurement compliance standards. Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with lead times, budgets, and program schedules .
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field . Experience with procurement processes, MRP systems, and supplier management . Strong skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and contract administration . Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) preferred. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills . Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment . Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international). Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance .
