Walker, MI Position Summary FALK Panel is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement operations across manufacturing, inventory, and project fulfillment activities. This role is responsible for coordinating the purchasing of raw materials, components, supplies, and services required to support production schedules and customer commitments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, communicates effectively with vendors and internal teams, and has a strong ability to manage timelines, documentation, and inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities Process purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, lead times, order confirmations, and delivery schedules Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with operations and production teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations Track open purchase orders and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor information, and ERP system data Support sourcing efforts by obtaining quotes and evaluating supplier options Assist with inventory counts, reconciliation, and reporting activities Coordinate with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies and receipt issues Communicate with logistics and warehouse teams regarding incoming shipments and material availability Help ensure purchased materials meet company quality standards and project specifications Support continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain efficiency Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field 1+ year of purchasing, procurement, inventory, administrative, or coordination experience Strong organizational and time-management skills High attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Experience working in a manufacturing or construction-related environment Experience with ERP or purchasing systems Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles Experience in metal fabrication, insulated panels, building materials, or industrial manufacturing Key Competencies Organization and follow-through Problem-solving and critical thinking Vendor relationship management Cross-functional collaboration Adaptability in a production-driven environment Data accuracy and reporting Work Environment Primarily office-based within a manufacturing environment Regular interaction with warehouse and production Plant floor exposure requiring appropriate PPE Why Join FALK Panel?
